Mark Twain's new book will be published by the American Publishing Company, of Hartford, Connecticut. It will describe a journey to California in the "flush times" of 1849, or scenes in the early history of the Golden State, with probably much piquant personal matter. It is intended to serve as a companion volume to "Innocents Abroad."
